Location and Locality
The location is something special. This grand estate has lain dormant for decades and these boundary-breaking town houses ( 18 in total although we only have one for our guests) mark the beginning of a new era for the estate where the walled garden has been rebuilt, the pathways have been cleared and the parkland is able to blossom once more. 10 minutes drive will take you in to Newcastle centre. The famous Beamish Museum is a short drive away and Newcastle International Airport can be reached in 15 minutes. Hadrians Wall and the Tyne Valley are just 20 minutes to the west and the beaches of Tynemouth and Whitley Bay are a 25 minute journey east. The cities of Durham and Sunderland are also accessible in under 1/2 hr - ideal for those visiting family at one of the regions universities. The Town House is approximately 15 minute's drive from another Country Retreat, The Old Paper Mill and 20 minute's drive from our Warkworth Woods property.
Please note that The Town House is set in a peaceful and exclusive row of 18 residential dwellings, so if serious partying is part of your plans then this is not the property for you. However, it is perfect for relaxed family holidaying or as a business base. Guests staying at The Town House are asked to respect the neighbourhood and the use of communal facilities such as parking and the vast gardens and beautiful grounds at their disposal.
